The patient has generalized abdominal pain, bloating, fullness, discomfort. Upper abdominal pain is characterized by sharp, burning pain that can occur immediately after eating, several hours after eating, or many hours after eating. The condition is chronic, for most of her life. The gourd has been getting progressively worse for several years. All these gastro intestinal complaints have been recalcitrant to any treatment she has tried.

Jaw pain is more occasional and varies in intensity. Present for many years.

Neck pain is characterized by stiffness, restrictions, sharp and dull pain, chronic for many years.

Low back pain often refers down right leg. The pain was recalcitrant to treatment by cortico steroid injections. After injections the right leg and foot felt worse and were more swollen.

Assessment: Liver blood circulation inhibited, pro-inflammatory conditions in her upper and lower gastro intestinal symptoms, endocrine dysfunction, hashimotos thyroiditis, irritable bowel syndrome.

These symptoms, like many symptoms create a viscous cycle. The inflammation in one region disturbs the function of other regions. They in turn cause more problems in the original system, reinforcing each other. All systems must be treated at the same time. These patterns of inflammation lead to deficiencies of all kinds. Inflammation consumes the bodies energy.

Treatment: Acupuncture was performed on Liver, Stomach, Large intestine meridians and associated channels, organ reflexes, and above myofascial regions.

Result: Patient felt immediately better after first treatment in all regions. 2 weeks after herbal therapy was introduced her upper and lower gastro intestinal symptoms were greatly improved.
